Film Screenings All Weekend
The festival kicks off on October 18 at the Norton Museum of Art with the Opening Night Block, featuring short films from a diverse group of filmmakers from South Florida.The screenings and QA will be moderated by Wilkine Brutus, Palm Beach County correspondent and producer for WLRN, South Florida’s NPR station.
The program continues on October 19-20 at Afflux Studios with 11 thematic film blocks.

Parties, Dancing, Sponsored Drinks
Our resident DJ and music programmer, DJ Hunchback, has curated the music for our opening night party at the Norton, followed by an all-female DJ set at the after-party at Kristin Hjellegjerde Gallery. The music and fun continue at Studio B at Afflux Studios at GStar Studios!
Subtropic will also host networking events such as the Karaoke Pitch Filmmakers Connect and Filmmaker Happy Hours.
The festival will conclude with an awards ceremony on October 20, celebrating outstanding films across various categories.
